Between 1967 and 1976 Péter Juhász played for Újpest Dózsa where he became the club’s legendary left back during his career. Wearing the jersey of the Hungarian national team 24 times, Juhász won a total of seven Hungarian league titles and three Hungarian Cups with Újpest. He was also a member of the team that reached the finals of the Inter-Cities Fairs Cup in 1969. He continued his career in Tatabánya in the second half of the 1970s, then played at Volán SC, Volán No. 22 and Göd, and retired from Chinoin.
In the national jersey he finished fourth at the European Championship at the 1972, and in the same year won a silver medal at the München Olympics. At the end of the year he was also elected as the best Hungarian footballer of 1972.
After his retirement he ran a beer bar, then worked at the buffet on Volán pitch in Rákospalota. In 1984 he obtained a coaching certificate at the Continuing Education Institute of the College of Physical Education, and later worked as UTE’s youth coach.
