Miklós Lendvai started his football career in Zalaegerszeg in 1991, then played football for Girondins Bordeaux in France and Lugano in Switzerland. Later, returning to Hungary, he became a player for Ferencváros in 1998, and after that, he played in Belgium and Cyprus. After his foreign teams, he played in Győr and then again in Zalaegerszeg. After his active sports career Lendvai worked as a coach, he managed the team of his hometown for two seasons.
As a youth he played in the national teams for different age groups, and in 1996 participated at the Atlanta Olympics with the Hungarian Olympic team, where he played in all three matches. In the same year, he made his debut for the Hungarian national team, where he played 23 times until 2004.
Miklós Lendvai last played in NB I in November 2006, but he played football in lower divisions until 2011, while he was already working as a coach. In 2016, he was the coach of Hévíz FC in the first division of Zala county, but in the following years he moved away from football and found his way into his father-in-law’s business in the construction industry.
