Biography

Elvio Banchero played for seven seasons with Genova 1983, AS Roma, AS Bari, and US Allesandria Calcio in Serie A, appearing in 120 matches and scoring 4 goals. Banchero was capped three times for the Azzurri team between 1928-31, also scoring a hat trick in the Italian 11-3 victory over Egypt for the 1928 Olympic bronze medal. His younger brother Ettore played football professionally as well. To distinguish them, Elvio was referred to as Banchero I and Ettore as Banchero II. Elvio Banchero later managed US Alessandria in 1937 and Parma in 1937/38.
