In addition to portrait busts, d’Ambrosio created a series of athlete statues, but also gave ceramics a try. His works were influenced by classical sculpturing in France. His Jeune athléte au repos is said to have been created in 1923 and was bought by the state. According to the signature, a life-size bronze cast was produced in 1935 and is positioned in the town hall of Figeac in Occitania.
