Valerio Cassani was a midfielder who played five seasons in the Italian Serie A, playing with four different teams – Atalanta Bergamasca Calcio, Modena FC, AS Livorno Calcio, and AS Bari. Cassani played with the Italian National Team only at the 1948 Olympics, playing in both Italian matches. He later became a doctor and practiced in his hometown.
