Between 1981-94, midfielder Roberto Galia spent 14 years in Serie A with A. C. Como, Sampdoria, Hellas Verona and Juventus. He won the Italian Cup with Sampdoria in 1985 and Juventus in 1990. Also in 1990, and again in 1993, he helped Juventus win the UEFA Cup.
Galia won three full Italian caps during Arrigo Sacchi’s time as coach, and played in the 1992 US Cup. Galia had previously represented Italy at the 1988 Seoul Olympics, where he played in three matches, as Italy finished fourth.
After his retirement in 1997/98, Galia went into coaching with teams like Como and US Pro Vercelli Calcio in Italy, and FC Chiasso in Switzerland.
