Giuseppe Milano was probably the first star of the Italian football, because of his skill, his ability, and his good looks. He played his entire career with US Pro Vercelli, winning five Italian titles in 1908-09 and 1911-13. Milano earned 11 caps with the national team, all as captain, and competed at the 1912 Stockholm Olympics. Milano was part of several technical commissions for the Azzurri in the 1920s and, as part of this task, was at the Olympics 1920 in Belgium. His brother, Felice Milano was a substitute on the 1912 Italian Olympic team.
