Biography

Forward Roberto Muzzi made his début for A.S. Roma in February 1990. He went on to spend 17 seasons in Serie A, making 335 appearances and scoring 93 goals. Apart from Roma, he played for Cagliari, Udinese, Lazio and Torino. He won the Italian Cup with Roma in 1991, and that same year lost the all-Italian UEFA Cup final against Internazionale, and was also on the losing side against Sampdoria in the Italian Super Cup. Other honours included the Italian Cup with Lazio in 2004, and entry into the 2000-01 UEFA Cup with Udinese, thanks to success in the Intertoto Cup in 2000. He retired from playing at the end of the 2006/07 season.

Muzzi never played for the senior Italian international team, but won 24 under-21 caps, and was in the victorious Italian teams at the 1992 and 1994 European Under-21 Championships. At the 1992 Barcelona Olympics, he was used for three games, each time as a substitute.
