Battista Rota played for 16 consecutive years in Italy’s Serie A, playing with Atalanta Bergamasca (1951-54), Bologna (1955-61), SPAL Ferrara (1960-61), and finishing back with Atalanta from 1962-65. Rota played on the winning Coppa Italia team in 1963 with Atalanta Bergamasca. He earned two international caps, both at the 1952 Helsinki Olympics. Rota later worked for many years as a trainer, with Atalanta, Cremonese, Piacenza, Vicenza, and Lecco from 1966-94.
