Despite a playing career of more than 15 seasons, midfielder Ugo Tomeazzi spent just seven seasons in Seria A, making a total of 123 appearances, and scoring nine goals for Torino, Napoli and Mantova. His only major domestic honour was in 1962, when he helped Napoli win the Italian Cup for the first time, beating Spal 2-1 in the final. Tomeazzi never played for the full Italian international team, but won five under-21 caps, including four at the 1960 Roma Olympics. After his playing days, he spent 20 years (1976-96) coaching various clubs, including Mantova, Spal, Rovigo, Suzzara, Carpi, Modena and finally, Fiorenzuola in Serie C.
