Paul Hamilton played most of his career with NEPA Lagos, staying with them from 1961-75. He competed at the 1968 Olympics. After his retirement from playing he became coach of the Nigerian U-20 team, and then coached the Nigerian men’s team, the Super Eagles, in 1989, but he was fired after they failed to qualify for the 1990 FIFA World Cup. In 1991 he coached the Nigerian women’s national team to their first FIFA World Cup appearance.
