Biography

Polish football midfielder Ryszard Grzegorczyk made his début with Polonia Bytom in 1958 and went on to play in more than 300 matches for the team. With the club Grzegorczyk won the Polish league title in 1962, in addition to finishing as the runners-up on three occasions (1958, 1959, 1961). He played at Polonia until 1971 when he transferred to the French club RC Lens. For his new team he played in more than 50 matches until his retirement in 1975. Grzegorczyk made his international début for the Polish team in a 2–2 draw against France in September 1960. That same year he was part of the squad that competed in the football tournament at the Roma Olympics. He went on to represent the national side in 23 matches, scoring two goals.
