Biography

Karl Ansén played on the left wing in Sweden’s first ever international match against Norway in 1908 against Norway. At the 1908 and 1912 Olympic Games he played in all of Sweden’s four matches, all of which were lost. Until 1915, he won a total of 17 caps.

At home, Ansén played 1908-18 for AIK Stockholm (now AIK Solna) and helped the team win the Swedish championships three times (1911, 1914, 1916). In 1926, he was awarded the “Stor Grabb” badge in football. He worked as a warehouseman and as a salesperson in a shoe store.
