Biography

After completing his military service in 1962 Antonín Kramerius joined the Czechoslovak football team Sparta Praha. As the club’s goalkeeper, Kramerius spent 10 seasons with the side, playing in 182 league matches. During this time he won two Czechoslovak First League titles (1964–65, 1966–67) and two Czechoslovak Cups (1964, 1972). During the 1964–65 season he set a league record for the longest time without conceding a goal with 1,017 minutes. Kramerius left Sparta in 1972, playing one season with Spartak Hradec Králové before retiring.

In November 1967 Kramerius made his international début for the Czechoslovakia national team in a UEFA Euro 1968 qualifying match against the Republic of Ireland. The following year he was part of the Czechoslovak squad for the football tournament at the 1968 Mexico City Olympics, playing in all three of their group matches. His final international match came in October 1970 in a friendly against Poland. After retiring from football Kramerius became a maintenance worker in Praha and later drove a truck delivering building materials.
