Zdeněk Šreiner was a midfielder who played most of his career with Baník Ostrava, helping them win league titles in 1980 and 1981 and the Czechoslovak Cup in 1978. He played on the national team from 1980-84, highlighted by Czechoslovakia’s gold medal at the 1980 Moskva Olympics. He spent his later career playing outside his country, with AS Beauvais in France, and in St. Petersburg.
