Biography

Vyacheslav Semyonov was a Ukrainian footballer who played internationally for the Soviet Union. During his domestic career Semyonov played in 146 matches for Zorya Luhansk. Semyonov won the Soviet Top League three times, twice with Dynamo Kyiv (1967–68), and once with Zorya Luhansk (1972). In the 1972 season Semyonov played in all 27 matches for the team.

Semyonov played in 11 matches for the Soviet Union national football team. Semyonov was part of the Soviet team that competed at the 1972 München Olympics. The Soviet team won the bronze medal, after their third-place match against East Germany ended as a draw. Semyonov scored three goals at the Olympics. After his playing career Semyonov became a coach.
