Gymnast Hedwig “Hedi” Traindl was Austrian champion in individual all-around in 1954. Two years earlier she represented her country at the Helsinki Olympics in seven events, and was the youngest Austrian competitor at the Games. Traindl finished tenth with the team in the all-around event and ninth with the team portable apparatus event. Individually, she came 77th in the all-around event.
