Biography

French gymnast Jacqueline Brisepierre was 18-years-old when she competed at the 1964 Tokyo Olympics. Brisepierre, who represented her club Montceau Fémina, participated in the vault, uneven bars, balance beam, and floor exercise at the Games, but failed to finish inside the top-50 in any of those disciplines. Four years later she made her second appearance at the Olympics at the Mexico City Games where she came seventh in the all-round team event. In 1976 she returned to the Olympics, this time as the captain of the French gymnastics team at the Montréal Games. After her competitive career Brisepierre worked as a director of the UNSS and an inspector of the Paris Academy. In 2013 she was honoured with the Chevalier de la Légion d’honneur.
