Midge Moreman was the daughter of an Army officer, and was born in India where her father was serving at the time. Moreman was one of the six members of the Northampton Polytechnic Institute (NPI) Women’s Gymnastics Club in the first ever British women’s gymnastics team, at the 1928 Amsterdam Olympics. Britain won the bronze medal and, three weeks after her appearance in Amsterdam, she married Thomas Jenner, a funeral director.
