East German gymnast Christel Felgner competed in the 1964 Tokyo Olympics, finishing fourth with the mixed German team. Individually her best result was 30th place on the vault, and in the individual all-around she was 35th. She never won an East German title, but had four podium finishes. Felgner later became a sports teacher.
