Anne Jung was a member of the German rhythmic gymnastics team at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics that finished eighth out of nine. This event was held for the first time at the Olympics and consisted of the use of a ball and club in the qualifying round, and the hoop and ball in the final. Jung was affiliated with TV Wattenscheid1863 Groß-Zimmern.
Jung later became a professional dancer as an ensemble member of the Dresden Frankfurt Dance Company. She earlier participated in several European and World Championships in this genre.
