Italian gymnast Clara Bimbocci represented the Pro Patria club in Busto Arsizio. Considered as one of the best gymnasts in the country at the time, she was named as part of the national team for the 1936 Berlin Olympics. Italy finished seventh out of the eight teams that competed in the all-round competition, with Bimbocci scoring the second-highest individual total for the Italian team. After the Olympics she finished as the runner-up at the 1938 national championships before winning the title in 1939.
