Elda Cividino was a member of the Italian national gymnastics team in the 1930s and 1940s but, due to World War II, her only major international competition was the 1936 Berlin Olympics. There, she finished seventh among eight nations in the team event as the youngest member of the squad. Domestically, she earned her only national title in the individual all-around in 1940, although she continued to compete through 1954 with her club, Ginnastica Triestina. She later worked as a judge, most notably at the 1960 Rome Olympics, and also held administrative roles in her sport.
