Having taken up the sport seriously in 1948, Honorata Marcińczak’s international gymnastics career spanned the first half of the 1950s and began when she represented Poland at the 1950 World Championships, where she placed fifth with the team in the all-around. Four years later, at the 1954 edition, she was again with the Polish team when they placed sixth. In-between, she took part in the 1952 Helsinki Olympics, where she was eighth in the team all-around and 14th in the team portable apparatus. Individually, she had a best finish of joint-51st (with Bulgaria’s Rayna Grigorova) in the uneven bars. She later worked as a gymnastics coach and judge.
