Biography

Draginja Đipalović was a member of the Yugoslavian national gymnastics team at the 1948 London Olympics that finished seventh in the team competition; she placed fourth among her eight teammates with 47.15 points. She was one of two members of the team from Beograd, the other being Dragana Đorđević, and was active in the sport from the mid-1940s. Đipalović also represented Serbia at a gymnastics competition with the People’s Republic of Croatia in February 1948 alongside Đorđević and Marica Ivandekić, in a national event against the Bulgarian women’s team in March 1948, as well as a March 1949 event held in Sarajevo with competitors 24 cities from all republics of Yugoslavia (except Montenegro).
