Known for his keen boxing sense and powerful punching powers, Gaston Aspa worked quickly in the ring, forcing his opponents to try to match his speed. A military boxing champion of France, where he served in the 39e Régiment d’Artillerie, Aspa competed at the 1908 Olympic Games in London where he finished sixth after being knocked out in the second round of his only bout by Bill Child of Great Britain. In the military Aspa worked as a dentist.
