Genaro Arredondo

From 1975 to 1987 Genaro Arredondo worked in various roles at the Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education (ITESM) including coaching the women’s volleyball team. Arredondo was also a trainer who refereed in multiple municipal leagues, going on to become one of the best referees in the sport in the world. He officiated in two matches at his home Olympics in Mexico City in 1968. Arredondo then referred at three more Olympics; 1980 Moskva, 1988 Seoul, and 1992 Barcelona, in addition to being named the Best Referee in the World in 1991.
