Edward Justice was a member of the Great Britain gymnastics team that finished eighth, and last, in the all-round team event at the London Olympics. Little else is known about his gymnastics career, other than that he was an instructor at the 5th South Essex Company of the Boys Brigade who toured the local area giving gymnastic displays.
Justice, who served with the 1st (City of London) Battalion, London Regiment (Royal Fusiliers) during World War I, also played cricket. During a match at Leytonstone in June 1924 he was in a collision with another player and, upon returning to his nearby home, became ill with chest pains and, while being treated, suddenly died. He was just 40 at the time. Justice was a warehouse clerk by profession.
