Biography

At the turn of the 20th century, George Parrott was a member of the gymnastics section of the Upton Congregational Church, West Ham. Although he won medals with his local club, the highlight of his career would have been in representing the Great Britain team at the 1908 London Olympics. Parrott served on the committee of the Metropolitan and Southern Counties Amateur Gymnastic Association, and in 1912 was one of their competition secretaries.
