Yorkshireman F. Whitaker was a member of the Great Britain gymnastics squad in the Team All-Round event at the 1908 Olympics. He was a member of the Bradford All Saints’ club and helped them win the Yorkshire team title on several occasions. He was also an instructor at the All Saints’ cub and was well known in the West Yorkshire area as a gymnastics judge. Whitaker continued performing after World War I, taking part in local displays and exhibitions.
