German gymnast Wilhelm Brülle competed at the 1912 Stockholm Olympics, finishing fifth in the team all-around event. He also finished fourth in the free-system team all-around. The teams represented the Allgemeiner Akademischer Turnerbund Leipzig. Brülle studied mathematics and was killed-in-action during World War I in Belgium in 1917, while serving as a sergeant with the 7th Infantry Regiment (Prussia).
