Field hockey mid fielder Aribert Heymann was a member of the first German team to win an Olympic hockey medal, when they beat Belgium 3-0 to win the bronze medal at Amsterdam in 1928. He won 12 international caps between 1924-31. At club level he played for Berliner HC. It is believed that Heymann was a sports journalist at Berliner Tageblatt and Mosse-Verlag in Berlin.
