Mihály Antos competed for BBTE, mainly as a gymnast but, following the trend of the era, he also entered athletic competitions. However, at the 1908 Olympics, he represented Hungary in the individual all-around gymnastics event. After his sports career, he completed his art history studies in Germany, Italy and Denmark. His paintings were shown at several exhibitions. Later, he obtained a degree as a physical education teacher, and worked as a secondary school teacher. He was also involved in OTT and BBTE’s leadership. A keen philatelist, Antos died of heart failure, but his exact date of death remains questionable. He lived alone, and was last seen on April 7, 1937, but his body was not discovered until three days later.
