Győző Háberfeld started his sporting career as a gymnast with NTE. However, at the 1912 Stockholm Olympics, now as a member of FTC and competing under the name of Halmos, he was a member of the Hungarian gymnastic team. After his Olympic career, Halmos withdrew from active sports, but worked at the UTE Tournament Division. He later opened a photo-studio in Újpest, now using the name of Békési. In the autumn of 1944, he was taken to Mauthausen, where he and his family disappeared.
