Biography

Anders Hylander was a career officer. He was a lieutenant when he was a member of the Swedish team that won gold in the Swedish system team event at the 1912 Olympics in Stockholm. He reached the ranks of lieutenant-colonel in the South Skåne Infantry Regiment. As a major he was company commander at the military school. He was a Knight of the order of the Sword, the Order of Vasa and of the Belgian Order of Leopold. Hylander married Dolly Beijer in 1916 and was survived by his wife by more than 30 years. She died at the age of 99. They had two daughters and one son.
