Sven Landberg was one of the six members of the Swedish team who won gold in London in 1908 and in Stockholm in 1912 in the gymnastics team event. He was also an excellent football player playing forward for IFK Stockholm and occasionally for Vikingarnas FK. In 1910, he won his only cap in a friendly in Kristiania (Oslo) against Norway, as Sweden won 4-0. One year later, he supported the team of Djurgårdens IF in a match against the English Wanderers.
After completing his studies, Landberg became a clerk for Skandinaviska Kreditaktiebolaget. He entered the bank’s service in 1912. He was married to Margit Eva Elisabet Thunell.
