Biography

Fernando Bolea was a Spanish handball player who began his career with Zaragoza in 1982. During the 1980s and 1990s Bolea played for several domestic teams with lengthy spells at both Michelin Valladolid (1985–90) and Bidasoa Irún (1990–95). From 1997 to 1999 he played for VfL Hameln in Germany before finishing his career with Zaragoza, playing with the side until his retirement in 2003. After his playing career Bolea remained with the club, this time as the coach, but left the team after just one season.
