Forward Harry Zörnack was on the East German handball team at the 1972 München Olympics that unfortunately lost the bronze medal match, 19-16, against Romania. He also won a silver medal at the 1970 World Championships. Zörnack earned 114 international caps from 1963-71. Domestically, Zörnack played with BSG Wismut Aue and later SC DHfK Leipzig, helping them to win the 1972 East German Championship, before moving back to Aue. He later turned to coaching.
