Biography
Back forward Rita Köster was a German handball player who was on the losing side in the third-place match at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics, when Germany lost 24-20 to the Unified Team EUN. Domestically, she only played with VfL Oldenburg and helped them win the German Cup in 1981. Later Köster turned to coaching at her home club. By profession, she became a bank clerk.
