Right winger Heiner Möller belonged to the West German handball team that finished sixth after losing the match for fifth place 17-16 against the Soviet Union at the 1972 München Olympics. He won 95 international caps and scored 193 goals.
Domestically, Möller played with TuS Eintracht Dortmund (1966-70), TuS Wellinghofen (1970-74 and 1978-81), TuS Nettelstedt (1974-78), OSC Dortmund (1981-83) and finally TSC Eintracht Dortmund (1983-84). By profession, he became a graduated teacher. In addition to his job he started another career as an amateur photographer in 1988. In 1994 and 2004 he was named North German amateur photographer of the year. He also won several awards in Westfalia.
