Biography

Miklós Fodor started his handball career in the colors of Belvárosi Torna és Vívó Klub. With his team he won the championship in 1929. From the following season, he played for Elektromos. With his new team Fodor won six more championship titles (1933, 1935, 1937, 1940, 1940 autumn, 1941). Between 1932 and 1942, he played 48 times in the Hungarian national team, with the following great successes as a team captain: 4th place at the 1936 Olympics, bronze medal at the 1938 World Championships, and in 1941, Hungary beat the German team for the first time. He took part in World War II and, after returning, he stayed with his club but only as a supporter.
