Biography

Endre Salgó played basketball and water polo when he was in high school. In the former sport, he also won the high school championship in the Budapest district. After graduating, he was also involved in handball and basketball with his VAC team. He won the championship in handball in 1934. Between 1933 and 1939 he appeared nine times in the Hungarian national team. He took part in the 1936 Berlin Olympics, where he played in three matches. In the 1941 indoor season, he became the top scorer with 55 goals.
