The club career of Polish handball player Ryszard Jedliński spanned from 1966 to 1983 where he represented Wisła Płock (1966–72), AZS Warszawa (1972–80), Warszawianka (1980–82), and VFL Fredenbeck Germany (1982–83). Jedliński also played in 151 matches for the Polish national team, winning a bronze medal at the 1982 World Championships. His first international success came at the 1972 Youth Friendship Competition when he won bronze. This was followed by two bronze medals at the Academic World Championships (1975, 1977), and a silver medal at the 1979 World Cup in Sweden. Jedliński was part of the Polish squad that finished in seventh place at the 1980 Moskva Olympics.
After his playing career Jedliński worked as a handball coach in Poland and Germany. He was awarded with a bronze medal for Outstanding Sports Achievements in 1982 and was bestowed with the ZPRP Diamond Badge in 1993. Jedliński was also a member of the Association of the Distinguished Polish Representative in Handball.
