Austrian 4th dan judoka Barbara Eck participated in the lightweight division at the 1992 Barcelona Summer Olympics. She was eliminated in the repêchage rounds for the medals and eventually tied ninth.
Eck won six individual national titles and collected a team bronze at the 1986 European Championships. She won the World Masters at Munich (München) in 1992 as her best individual international result. Eck studied sports science and became a judo coach by profession.
