Hannah Ertel was a German half-heavyweight judoka who was bronze medalist at both the 1994 World and European Youth Championships. She went on to win the latter title in 1995 and 1996. Also in 1996, Ertel won the European Championships and finished seventh at the Atlanta Olympics.
Shortly after the 1996 Games, Ertel won the silver medal at the Youth World Championships, and was World Military champion in 1998. She later became an honorary judo coach.
