Biography

Argentine bantamweight boxer Domingo Casco fought at the Pan American Games and the Olympics before competing for ten years as a professional. Casco represented Argentina at the 1967 Pan American Games in Winnipeg where he lost to Juvencio Martinez of Mexico on points. The following year he competed at the 1968 Mexico City Olympics, beating Mahmoud Ladjili, before losing to Roberto Cervantes via a disqualification. Casco made his professional début in August 1970 in Buenos Aires and won his first ten fights. He then won six of his next nine fights, earning him a shot at the Argentine featherweight title in May 1974, where he lost by knockout to Oscar Jorge Mendez. Casco continued to box throughout the rest of the decade, with his final two fights coming in early 1980. He retired with a pro record of 50 fights, with 35 wins, and 10 defeats.
