Thomas Schleicher was an Austrian judoka participating at the 1996 Atlanta Summer Olympics. He competed in the lightweight division and was eliminated in the repêchage of the pool stage. In 1995 and 1996 Schleicher won bronze medals at the European Championships. Nationally, he won the titles in 1992, 1995, and 1997.
Schleicher later went astray in life and became involved with drugs and prostitution. He was consequently arrested and imprisoned for five years in 2018 because of dealing in cocaine. In prison he became depressed and eventually committed suicide shortly before his 29th birthday in 2001.
