Biography

Christian Beauvalet was the French national modern pentathlon champion in 1960, which qualified him to represent his country at that year’s Summer Olympics. In Rome, he was 45th individually and 15th in the team event, alongside André Bernard and Étienne Jalenques, despite a strong start of 7th in the riding event. He achieved the distinction of Master of Arms in 1964 and taught cadets at the Garde Républicaine de Paris until his retirement in 1984, following a personal tragedy. In his later years, he was active as a member of the Club Bon Accueil of Roques.
