Austrian rower Wilfried Auerbach was a two-time Olympian, at Moskva (Moscow) in 1980 and Los Angeles in 1984. On both occasions he partnered Thomas Linemayr, in the coxless pairs in 1980 and in the double sculls in 1984. On both occasions, they only reached the B-finals, and were classified ninth in 1980 and seventh in 1984, as the B-final winners.
Auerbach later became a marketing manager in different well-known companies and then a freelance business consultant. He also became active as an influential right-winged politician in Austria.
