Karl Jr., the son of Karl Sinzinger, Sr., was an Austrian rower who competed at the 1988 and 1992 Seoul and Barcelona Summer Olympics. He rowed with Hermann Bauer in the coxless pairs and placed 12th on both occasions.
In 1985 and 1986, Bauer and Sinzinger won the bronze medal at the U-23 World Championships and added a gold medal in 1987. In 1989 and 1991 the pair also won bronze medals at the senior World Championships. In 1992 Sinzinger partnered Hermann Faderbauer, and they placed seventh.
In 2002, Sinzinger took over the Linz locksmith business, which his great-grandfather founded in 1922. Sinzinger’s wife Nikola was a track & field athlete.
